Poori Masal

Ingredients:

Wheat Atta         -   3 cups
Cooking oil for deep frying 
Salt to taste

For Masal:

Potatoes                      -  5 nos medium sized
Onions                        -  2 nos medium sized
Green chillies               -  2 nos
Ginger                         -  1 inch
Tunrmeric Powder       -  1/2 tea spoon
Cooking oil                  -  1 tea spoon
Bengal Gram powoder-  1/2 tea spoon(optional)
Coriander(chopped)    -  1table spoon
Salt to taste

1.  Take Atta in a bowl and add salt.
2.  Pour water little by little and make it into a tight dough.
3.  Divide the dough into a small lemon sized balls.
4.  Flatten it using a rolling pin.
5.  Heat oil in a kadai.
6.  Put the rolled poories.
7.  If you press the poori once it floats up it would swell.
8.  Now turn it into the other side.
9.  Once it turns into golden brown remove it and put the next poori and follow procedure.
10.Poories are ready.

For Masal:

1.  Boil the potatoes.
2.  Peel and mash it.
3.  Chop onions and green chillies.
4.  Grate the ginger.
5.  Heat oil in a kadai.
6.  Add mustard, black gram dal and bengal gram dal.
7.  Once mustard crackles and the dals become golden brown add the chopped onions, ginger and green chillies.
8.  Also add the salt and turmeric powder.
9.  Now add the mashed potatoes and 1 cup of water.
10.Let this boil for 5 mins.
11.Mix 1 tea spoon of bengal gram dal powder in 1/2 cup of water and pour it into the masal.
12.Let it boil for another 3 mins.
13.Garnish with coriander.
14.Masal ready.
