Idli


Ingredients:
Boiled rice           -  3 cup
Black gram dal     -  1 cup
Fenugreek seeds  -  1 table spoons

1.  Wash rice and soak for 4 hrs.
2.  Separately wash black gram dal and fenugreek seed and soak for 1 hr.
3.  Grind rice coarsely.
4.  Remove from grinder and now grind the soaked dal into smooth paste.
5.  Mix the ground rice paste, dal paste and salt.
6.  Keep it closed and let it ferment for 6 - 8 hrs.
7.  It will raise with bubbles.
8.  Now mix it thoroughly and remove all the bubbles.
9.  Grease the idli stand.
10.Pour the dough in the stand and cook in the cooker without pressure accumulation for 7-8 mins in high flame and then for another 5 mins in low flame.
11.Allow it to cool and remove the idli with spoon and serve with sambarchutney and idli milagai podi.
