Palak Paratha (Green Paratha)


Ingredients:

Palak                  -  1 bunch
Wheat flour         -  2 cups
Garlic                  -  4 - 5 pearls
Jeera                   -  1 tea spoon
Green chillies       -  2 nos
Asafoitida            -  1/2 tea spoon
Ghee                   -  5 table spoons
Salt to taste

1.  Clean, wash and chop palak.
2.  Grind together palak, green chillies, garlic and jeera together.
3.  Take wheat flour (atta) in a bowl, add salt asafaoitica and the ground palak paste and knead together into a tight dough.
4.  Keep it aside for 10 - 15 mins.
5.  Take  a large lemon size of the dough and roll it into a chapathi, apply 1/2 tea spoon of ghee over it and fold it twice and then roll it again.
6.  Heat the tawa and place the rolled paratha into the tawa and pour 1/2 tea spoon of ghee and once cooked turn the paratha and add another 1/2 tea spoon of ghee and cook well and remove from tawa.
7.  Repeat the procedure and make parathas.
8.  Serve hot with curd.
