Dosai

Ingredients for Batter:

Raw rice              -  1cup
Boiled rice           -  1 cup
Black Gram dal    - 1/2cup
Fenugreek seeds  -  1 tea spoon


1.  Wash and soak all the above ingredients for 4 hrs.
2.  Grind into a thick paste add little water.
3.  Add salt and mix thoroughly.
4.  Keep it in a closed container for 6 -8 hrs(till the batter raises atleast 1 inch.)
5.  Mix the batter and remove the bubbles.

For making dosa::

1.  Heat a non-stick pan.
2.  Add a drop of water and spread it on the pan with a potato.
3.  Take a ladle of batter and spread softly on the pan.
4.  Pour oil (1 tea spoon) drop by drop around the dosa.
5.  Keep the flame low.
6.  After 1/2 min. turn the dosa with a flat ladle.
7.  Let it cook for 1/2 min. and remove from the pan.
8.  Dosai ready.  Serve with chutney.
